Sales Administration Analyst


Position Purpose:

The Sales Administration Analyst will serve as a member of the sales administration team, which handles the company's customer master, rebate programs, commissions, sales reporting, database management, and special projects. The primary focus of this position will be managing the commission programs for the US, Canada, and Mexico along with providing cross functional support throughout the organization. The Analyst is empowered, selfreliant, and a solid team player that consistently seeks to exceed customer's expectations. The ideal candidate will require little supervision with a direct focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage responsibilities for sales incentive compensation activities including: commission calculations, analytics, payroll files, accrual submission and reporting.
  • Help develop, modify, and maintain the sales incentive compensation programs
  • Monthly and quarterly data validation reviews
  • Partner with sales management and HR on issues related to the incentive compensation program
  • Cross-functional work with customer master for rep table changes and updates and provide impact analysis on changes
  • Own distribution of commission recap reports to each individual sales person
  • Drive and support simplification, standardization, and best practices
  • Work with Sales Directors to provide analytics and support regarding territory realignments
  • Serve as first point of contact for escalations relating to commission calculations
  • Create and maintain standard operating process documentation for commission related tasks
  • Maintain directory for sales teams
  • Perform various ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Drive process improvements in sales commission administration
  • Provide inputs in development of annual sales commission planning




  • Associates degree required, BA/BS preferred
  • Three years related experience
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office programs; advanced Excel and Access skills required
  • Ability to write reports in Microsoft Access a must and knowledge of SQL coding a plus
  • Database management and query experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and followthrough to complete tasks with high level of accuracy
  • Experience with SAP, JD Edwards, or other ERP systems preferred
  • Organizational skills including the ability to successfully prioritize and expedite tasks
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work towards winwin situations
  • Strong writing skills to correspond with customers and sales team
  • Professional telephone demeanor
  • Must be flexible with work hours to meet the demands of the position
