Primary Responsibilities:        

 

  • Oversee the Heavy Industrial Arc Equipment product business for North America:
    1. Manage and own the product portfolio including pricing, profitability, stocking levels and the general day to day business activities.
    2. Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing manufacturing costs and competitive positioning to maximize revenue and profitability. Also, manage price increases and oversee proper implantation and communication internally and externally.
    3. Work with Supply Chain and Production to ensure proper stock levels are in place to meet the monthly sales budget and forecast.
    4. Work with global cross functional teams to ensure the overall success of the business
    5. Effectively communicate sales and marketing information to senior management.
    6. Regularly monitor and report on revenue, margin and vitality utilizing RCCM when off track.
    7. Maintain technical/industry knowledge by attending AWS seminars and relative workshops as well as reviewing professional publications. Provide reports on market data and industry trends
  • Own and Manage the Heavy Industrial Arc Equipment North American Product Strategy:
    1. Develop a marketing strategic plan that delivers growth objectives including, market share, revenue, profit and ROI for North America.
    2. Ensure the regional marketing strategic plan is incorporated into the global operational plan.
    3. Research & analyze market conditions and trends to support strategy
    4. Research & analyze competitor landscape to support strategy
  • Own and Manage New Product Development and Road Map for North America:
    1. Conduct VOC visits to understand end-user requirements and uncover end-user problems to develop product definitions for new breakthrough products.
    2. Effectively communicate key findings and breakthrough features to product development team using QFD.
    3. Participate as the category manager expert with the cross functional APD teams to deliver new products to the market on time and in budget.
    4. Develop and implement integrated launch plans for breakthrough products with Sales, MARCOM, design team, Supply Chain and manufacturing.
    5. Provide proper sales training and tools to the sales force and organization.
    6. Develop marketing and sales strategies, promotions and programs with MARCOM, Sales and Channel Management to exceed sales budget.
    7. Develop and management Heavy Industrial product road map and ensure regional requirements are incorporated into the global priorities.  
  • Support and assist regional leaders globally for new products
    1. Ensure product road maps and Product definitions fit the needs of global markets.
    2. Work with region leaders to conduct VOC for new product development.
    3. Support the efforts of launch activities and share best practices, training and marketing programs
    4. Assist in sales support 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Marketing and ten years of experience. MBA Preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with cross functional departments - written and verbal.
  • Excellent team skills must be able to lead and influence other departments.
  • In depth knowledge of the Arc equipment business globally.
  • Willingness to do travel in access of 50% of the time including international.
  • Ability to work with customers and deal with customer problems.
  • Has a demonstrated customer centric and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Excellent objective setting and problem solving skills.
